Group Personal Accident

This policy is essentially designed to provide benefits to employees. The employer in whose name the policy is issued may elect to have the employees named specifically in the policy. Alternatively, cover can be provided on un-named basis where all employees within a particular class or description are covered. The benefits can be based on fixed sums or linked to the estimated total annual earnings of the employees as a given multiple.
This policy provides compensation in the event of insured sustaining injuries, solely and directly from an accident caused by violent, visible and external means, resulting into death or disablement be it temporary or permanent.
There are some additional benefits available without payment of additional premium like, Reimbursement of expenses for the carriage of the dead body.

(a) Intentional self injury,
(b) Suicide or attempted suicide,
(c) Death or disablement resulting from child birth and pregnancy;
(d) Accident while the insured is under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs;
(e) War and allied perils.
